PART 3: IT'S A LASH ATTACK
Now that we have addressed the cleaning our face and starting our foundation by washing our face twice a day it's time for my favorite part, Lashes!!! I could talk about lashes all day.
Let's start at the basic of lash picking:
Did you know a simple pair of lashes can change your total look? They can enhance your natural beauty and give you a great look. When purchasing lashes, I always check out every angle I want to see what others see!
Looking at the lashes from the front and the side let's you see the length and thickness of the lash! Now there are many several types of strip lashes like whisky, flirty and double lash. There are also varieties of like brown or black colors, and long and short. As a MUA and lover of fabulous lashes, the eyelash aisle is like a candy store to me. Walmart has a great selection of lashes you can chose from.
Here is a pair of Salon Perfect lashes and they have great lengths and assorted styles for unique occasions. Kiss also has a great lash line for a reasonable price and under 10 bucks.
Applying lashes
Now I know some of you probably think you can't apply lashes but you can! They have several types of adhesive that yo can apply your lashes on with. If you have allergies and you’re not sure if you are allergic to the glue you can do a small patch test on your hand just to see if you are allergic to any types of glue.
After you find the glue that works best for you we can now apply your lashes. Here are a couple of adhesive glues you can use: Duo, Ardell and Cardani, a latex free glue, which is easier for those with allergies.
The key to great application is allowing the glue to get tacky after you apply it on your strip lash. Some people use tweezers to help assist with applying lashes but I personally use my hand. Apply the lash under the lid part of the eye lid where the bases of your natural lash start. Start in the middle by sitting the lash on the base of your natural lash apply pressure by pinching your lash and the false lash together and waaa laaa!!
You can also apply mascara for a more natural look or you can double up. I love doubling up lashes to give a more fuller and thicker look, You can put two pairs of lashes together and you apply them the same way. Add on a little lip glass or lipstick and that's all you need for a fresh look that is so simple to do!
Tip: How to clean your lashes … get a small bowl and pour a small amount of alcohol in the bowl, place your lashes in the alcohol and let them sit for about 5 mins until you start seeing the glue detach from the lash. Clean off excess makeup and glue by using Q-tips to rub out dirt, etc. Brush your lashes out with a tooth brush or a clean eyelash brush. If you take care of your lashes you can at least get three good wears out of them.
If you are not a lash person there are hundreds of mascaras that you can use to have awesome lashes too:
Rimmel Wonder lash

Lancôme Hypnoses Mascara
